What is the difference between BySquare, EPC QR, and SPAYD?

BySquare is the Slovak standard for payment QR codes - it supports variable, specific, and constant symbols. SPAYD (QR Platba) is the Czech standard with the same symbols but in a different format. EPC QR (European Payments Council) is a European SEPA standard that works across EU countries but does not support Czech and Slovak symbols. For payments within Slovakia, use BySquare. For payments within Czech Republic, use SPAYD. For international SEPA payments, choose EPC QR.

SPAYD (QR Platba) is a Czech standard for payment QR codes established by the Czech Banking Association. The SPD (Short Payment Descriptor) format is supported by all Czech banks - Air Bank, Ceska sporitelna, CSOB, Fio banka, Komercni banka, Raiffeisenbank, mBank and others. QR Platby fully supports this format.

Can I customize the QR code?

Yes. You can change the QR code and background colors, choose a dot style (square, rounded, circles, or classy), and add center text or your own logo. All changes are visible in real time. You can also save your customization settings as a template for reuse.

The bulk generation feature lets you create multiple QR codes at once from a CSV file. Download the results as a ZIP archive or PDF document, or print them directly.

Click the Share link button and copy the link. The link contains all payment details including IBAN, amount, symbols, note, and QR code appearance. The recipient will see a page with the QR code that they can scan using their banking app.

Yes. QR Platby offers a free REST API with no API key required. You can integrate it into your own app, chatbot, or workflow. The API supports all three formats - BySquare, EPC QR, and SPAYD. The rate limit is 20 requests per minute.

Partially. After the first page load, you can generate QR codes even without an internet connection. Payment history and settings are stored locally in your browser.
